Passive Form Tense

C. Passive Form Tense
a. Present Simple: Somebody cleans this room every day. vs. This room is cleaned every day.
b. Past simple: Somebody cleaned this room yesterday. vs. This room was cleaned yesterday.
c. Present Perfect: Active: Have/ has + done etc., Passive: Have/ has been + done etc. (e.g. Have you heard? The concert has been cancelled.)
d. Past Perfect: Active: Had + done etc., Passive: had been + done etc. (e.g. The vegetables didn’t taste very good. They had been cooked too long.)
e. Present continuous: Active: am/ is/ are + (do)ing, Passive: am/ is/ are + being (done) (e.g. There’s somebody walking behind us. I think we are being followed.)
f. Past continuous: Active: was/ were + (do)ing, Passive: was/ were + being (done) (e.g. There was somebody walking behind us. We were being followed.)
g. Future: will be + done (e.g. Arrangements will be made to move them to other locations.)
h. Future Perfect: will have been + done (e.g. All the merchandise will have been shipped by tomorrow.)
