2. House price in London can be prohibitive (= too expensive for people to afford).
3. This car is proving to be very expensive to run.

5. That supermarket’s a bit dear.
6. The house is great and the rent is reasonable (= not to expensive).
7. The heating system is very economical (= cheap to run).
8. She offered me a fair price for my record collection.
9. I booked my holiday at the last moment, so it was dirt cheap (= it cost very little money).
10. This coat was half-price, a real bargain.
11. The sunglasses are now available in major stores, a snip at $25 a pair.
12. Less than $30 for both of them? What a steal!
