Get Down to Brass Tacks: to talk or deal about the most important or serious issue
Example: Let's get down to brass tacks, who's going to have the responsibility of this work?

Get Over It: to get something better than happened in the past, and move on
Example: We need to get over it and focus on the next subject.

Give Him The Slip: to escape or to get away from someone
Example: They will be very busy tonight, let's give them the slip and go out to a dinner.

Give the benefit of the doubt: Believe someone's statement, without proof
Example: She said she was late because her flight was canceled, and we gave her the benefit of the doubt.

Go for broke: to risk it everything you have, even if it means losing everything, but in the hope of having great success
Example: I decided to go for broke. Good luck, and I hope you don't go for broke too quickly.

Go The Extra Mile: to do or make more effort than is expected
Example: We always provide and go the extra mile to make sure our customers are satisfied.

Good Samaritan: someone who helps people when they are in trouble or need without compensation
Example: A traveller who was robbed, beaten, stripped and left half dead alongside the road. A Good Samaritan comes by and helps him.
