A1. Detached house: not joined to any other house
A2. Semi-detached house: joined to one other house
A3. Self-contained flat: does not share facilities with any other
A4. Terraced house: joined to several houses to form a raw
A5. Cottage: small house in the country or in a village
A6. Bungalow: house with only one story
A7. Bedsit: bedroom and living room all in one
A8. Villa: large house with big gardens or a rented house in a holiday resort/ tourist area
A9. Time-share: holiday flat or house where you have the right to live one or two weeks a year
A10. Studio: a small apartment designed to be lived in by one or two people, usually with one large room for sleeping and living in, a bathroom and sometimes a separate kitchen
