Phrasal Verb: take after, take apart, take back, take down, take in

take after somebody means resemble a family member (e.g. I take after my mother. We are both impatient.)
take something apart means purposely break into pieces (e.g. He took the car brakes apart and found the problem.)
take something back means return an item (e.g. I have to take our new TV back because it doesn’t work.)
take something down (from a wall etc.) (e.g. I didn’t like the picture, so I took it down)
take somebody in means deceive somebody (e.g. The man said he was a policeman and I believed him. I was completely taken it)
