Link Verb

B. Link verbs: show a relationship between the subject of the sentence and a noun or adjective being linked to it.
B1. Some verbs are followed by either a noun or an adjective: N + V + N or N + V + Adj. (e.g. He became headmaster. He became angry.)
B2. common link verbs: be, become, appear, feel, look, remain, seem, sound, etc. (e.g. She seemed an intelligent woman.)
B3. After appear and seem we often use 'to be'. (e.g. She appeared to be an intelligent woman. He seemed to be angry)
B4. Some link verbs are followed by an adjective. Common verbs: get, go, grow, taste, smell, etc. (e.g. He got hungry in the evening.)
